Palm Desert, CA (PRWEB) September 12, 2006 -- Swisstrax Interlocking Floor Tiles now manufactured in the USA, is the next generation of floor tiles. It is produced with the same Swiss engineering and exacting standards you expect from the Swiss and is the ultimate solution for cracked, chipped, or stained concrete floors.

Swisstrax launched RIBTRAX at Osh Kosh in Wisconsin for aircraft hangars and has been supplied for many other applications namely garage floors, car dealerships, showrooms, tradeshow booths, racing pits, hospitality areas as well as to the Army National Guard. A lot of interest was created for aircraft hangars at that show.

Swisstrax Interlocking Floor Tiles are an attractive and comfortable environment for airplane hangers, have excellent slip resistance when wet, can be installed quickly, and are not affected by hot tires, or most chemicals.

In its statement, the group expanded on its performance during the first half: "During the period, progress was made on Kingfisher's strategic priorities: There were early and encouraging signs of progress from key strategic initiatives at B&Q, including the development of a new Warehouse store format for implementation in all 114 larger stores and improvement of in-store service and product ranges. News in Brief

    News in Brief

Aspen residents lined up outside the Wheeler Opera House early Thursday for a shot at discounted tickets to a Dec. 29 performance by Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters.

Tickets to the general public go on sale today, but 53 seats - the first four rows, atop the orchestra pit - were offered Thursday to local residents who appeared in person at the Wheeler Box Office. The bargain tickets, available for one day only, went for $75. The rest of the "premium seats" for the Broadway-style show are priced at $225; other seats are priced at $150 and $125.

"We wanted to do that for the locals," said Gram Slaton, executive director of the Wheeler, who found a queue outside the opera house when he arrived Thursday morning. He let ticket buyers into the lobby to wait until the box office opened at 10 a.m.

Topps Tiles sticks at it to see sales rise

TOPPS Tiles, Britain's biggest tile and wood flooring specialist, said it was seeing a slight upturn in sales after ending a "challenging" year and vowed to continue expanding.

The group, which has two of its 271 outlets in Edinburgh, said that although like-for-like sales over its last full year to September 30 were down 1.8 per cent, sales over the five weeks since then were up 1.9 per cent, albeit against fairly weak comparisons.

Are you fan of green Gables?

Are you fan of green Gables?

A LISTED Victorian house was once part of the Beaurepaire Estate in Bramley and its two-storey outhouse was the laundry for the Hampshire estate.

The house is thought to date from the mid-1800s and was built as a pair of cottages that have now been converted into a single dwelling.

Pretty Bramley windows and steeply pitched roof lines give character to The Gables, which is marketing through Poulters with a price guide of £675,000.

The Gables has been renovated by its current owners and is set on the edge of the popular village, at Bramley Corner.

    It's tough at the Topps

    It's tough at the Topps

CERAMIC and wood flooring specialist Topps Tiles ended a "challenging" financial year with signs of a sales upturn, as its boss reiterated the company's expansion plans.

The firm, based in Handforth, Cheshire, reported a rise in like-for-like sales of 1.9 per cent for the past five weeks, against a drop of 1.8 per cent across the year to last Saturday.

Sales have been under pressure at its 260 stores - including 42 under the cheaper Tile Clearing House name - as homeowners have cut back spending on major items such as flooring in the face of higher bills and household debt.
